Dylan Meconis

Cartoonist

Dylan Meconis is a cartoonist, writer and performer from Portland, Oregon. She’s a member of Helioscope, the largest working collective of comics creators in North America.

Her original work includes multiple graphic novels for adults and teens. Recent publications include the middle grade historical fantasy novel Queen of the Sea, a Junior Library Guild Selection listed by Kirkus and Amazon as one of the best young adult books of 2019Her work has also been nominated for Eisner, Reuben, and Oregon Book Awards.

Dylan’s illustrations have accompanied text by authors Kate Messner, Ryan North, Jasper Fforde, Scott McCloud, and Seanan McGuire. She’s provided visual communications consulting, live graphic notation, and graphic design for clients including Google, Amazon, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

She also paints tiny portraits of pets, and is very disappointed that nobody has commissioned one of a tarantula (yet).
