Morgan is an illustrator and cartoonist who has worked on a variety of projects from t-shirt designs to video games. However, he has found the most success and enjoyment in comics, being fortunate enough to work on several titles including ‘Welcome to Paradise’ published by Scout Comics, ‘Gaffe’ (set to be published by Iron Circus Comics), ‘The Hall of Taxidermied Presidents’ for MSCF Magazine and more.
Morgan’s voice as a visual storyteller uses a combination of technical skill and introspection, displayed through a use of humor, direct commentary and just a smidge of sarcasm, with the goal of circumventing expectations. His voice was honed by his mentor, Jared Cullum (@jaredcullum on Instagram) for his MFAVN thesis story ‘Mushroom Trip.’ He’s currently seeking a publisher for the book, teaching at VCU & VSU, and working on his next graphic novel project Gaffe for Iron Circus Comics.
MFA Visual Narrative at the School of Visual Arts empowers each student to develop their narrative skills, professional practice and personal voice to become the next generation of relevant and innovative visual storytellers. Whether you want to elevate your current career or blaze a new trail, MFAVN will prepare you with the visual language and practical narrative skills you need.
