Can Tara Escape?
On a futuristic Earth, gas station attendant Tara feels stuck. After a bad break up with her girlfriend Beth, Tara impulsively responds to an ad offering travel to Mars. Once there, she allows her memory to be wiped and becomes a worker for the developing AI-patrolled civilization. Trapped on a barren land with bizarre rules, Tara bonds with her teammates as they fight to get a sliver of their memories back. When Beth arrives on Mars in search of Tara, she’s faced with an additional challenge that her ex-girlfriend might not even recognize her. Will they ever reconnect?
The Landscape
The orange and barren land on Mars as depicted in the pages are inspired by Srobana’s own travels to the US West, especially Arizona and New Mexico.
