One of the lessons we live by every day at MFAVN is often overlooked by many…
“Work on your stories with other people.”
It’s risky. It can be painful. It can also transform our work from insular and protected to bold and moving. The people around us are filled with ideas and if we work on honing the muscles that can determine a good idea from a bad one, then opening our stories up to the world (while we’re crafting them) can astonish.
Here’s a wonderful tale about how one man’s tweet turned into an insane, unique, peer-reviewed, peer-built game. Yes, he lucked out on a number of levels but he also dared to open his idea up to the world. And it worked.
