Sarah Schmidt

Sarah Schmidt is an animation artist based in Chicago, Illinois. She was raised by marching band and a family gas station in small town, Ohio, before graduating with an Animation BFA in 2014 from Columbus College of Art and Design. She worked at a now defunct, boutique motion design studio for three years before quitting in pursuit of a full-time freelance career. In 2019, she co-founded Sunshine Mall LLC, where she directs, produces, and animates for clients, agencies, and musicians. Since 2016, she has put together an independent zine and screening series called Malt Adult, which highlights animators pushing the medium. She loves vegan food and concerts.
