Lily Lu is a New York City-based writer and artist. She received a bachelor of arts from New York University with a concentration in Visual Storytelling from the Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She has been a fan of comics from a young age, spending all of her school years reading everything from superhero serials to graphic novels to indie webcomics to any manga she could get her hands on.
She writes and draws prose and comics in a variety of genres, and first started drawing the moment she learned how to pick up a pencil. Her love of fantasy, science fiction, and action and romance manga often shines through in her work. She believes that stories are a vital part of human understanding, but also that there is no better feeling than putting a smile on someone else’s face.
In her free time, Lily likes to cook, read comics, play video games, and take long walks through the city.
