Lillyan Ling
Lillyan Ling is an NJ/NYC-based artist and producer making games, music, and other nonsense. She is interested in experimentation, epistolary and diaristic forms, the ordinary and unordinary, and collaborative community fun. Coming from a DIY music scene background, she has worked with Babycastles, Pariah Interactive, and Computer Lunch, as well as various artists. She is 1/3rd of Common Opera, a videogame development trio creating new kinds of work inspired by arcade, adventure, and RPG traditions. Their current project is Waxwing, a retelling of the Icarian myth as a co-op 2D sidescroller, where you and a partner guide the hero to a final confrontation with the sun. Her collaborations have received awards at Tribeca Film Festival, IndieCade, and A MAZE, and have been exhibited at Tokyo Game Show, gamescom, Day of the Devs, and the Museum of the Moving Image, among others.
