Handowin HE is an award-winning author-illustrator, animator based in NYC/Shanghai. Her passion for the arts drove her to land in the illustration industry in 2019. Keen on a storytelling approach to serving her various whims, Handowin holds a strong desire & ability to create artworks in which each one could feel her extraordinary imagination with a funky soul. She has collaborated on many significant projects with globally renowned enterprises, including Nike, Vans, Disney, Carlsberg in China, as well as global & domestic children’s book publishing houses. Her works are recognized by 2023 D&AD New Blood Winner, 2023 Applied Award Winner, CA Shortlist, 2022 BIBF Finalist, 2022 3*3 Illustration Show Merit Award, 2021 LICC Winner, 2021 Vega Student Award, the 2020 World Illustration Award, the 2020 International Motion Award 8 Winner, and among other awards.
Handowin is also a zine-maker contributing to independent publication. In the past three years, she participated in plenty of art book fairs, illustration fairs, and zine fests throughout the world. Through her visualised stories, an incomparable world outlook could be recognized.
