Gianna Meola
Multidisciplinary Artist & Educator
Gianna Meola (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist and educator, working mainly in illustration, cartooning, animation, fine art, and printmaking. Her work touches on themes of nature, as well as urban experience and wandering, and she combines digital and traditional styles with printmaking to create a unique illustrative voice.
Gianna has illustrated a young adult graphic novel with Lerner Publishing called The Spy Who Raised Me, written by Ted Anderson, as well as been featured in several comic anthologies including Tori Amos: Little Earthquakes (Z2) and Comics for Choice. Her illustrations have been in Car and Driver, and Warby Parker. Additionally she teaches screen printing with the Gowanus Printlab and animation with Pioneer Works, both located in Brooklyn. Gianna graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2014.
