Andrés Farías

Director, Assistant Director and Film Teacher

Andrés Farías Cintrón is a director, assistant director and film teacher from the Dominican Republic graduated from San Antonio de los Baños Film School (Cuba); he also have a Degree in advertising and a Master Degree in Film, TV and Interactive Media in Madrid, Spain.

As assistant of director he has worked on more than 20 features (The Killer, Woodpeckers, Cocote, Pepe, Chroma Kid, among others)

His first Feature Film “Candela” was supported by the Sundance Institute and the French Institute. It premiered in 2021 as the opening film of the Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival and the Biarritz Film Festival in which he won the Jury Prize. The film has been shown in more than 15 festivals around the world and has won several prizes.

Recently he finished his second Feature film called Melodrama with Lantica Studios.
