MFAVN presents Visualized: Climate

How can storytelling help us manage climate change? MFA Visual Narrative, in partnership with the 2014 Visualized conference, presented a panel discussion, led by Paul Miller, that focused on the challenges and opportunities for storytelling using climate change data and visualizations.

The planet has a lot to tell us if we know how to look. From the ancient movement of glaciers to the current melting patterns you’ll see what’s going on in a brand new way. The image at 43:00 is astonishing with its layered visuals of ten different climate aerosol phenomenon. You’ll see natural dust movement across the oceans, hurricane patterns, brush fires and pollution interact with each other. That image alone tells a million stories.
