Guillaume Kurkdjian’s animated .gifs will make you believe!
Guillaume Kurkdjian (@gkurkdjian) has done something pretty unusual. He’s made animated .gifs shine. The artist’s simple style works very well with the compact (and some would argue graceful) animated .gif format.
Each image tells a story. Some are clear as a bell:
Some are perplexing:
Some just make you smile with their cleverness:
And some manage to pack a lot of story in a small package:
There are dozens of pieces on Guillaume Kurkdjian’s website. It’s hard to stop watching them. How can Kurkdjian take two stale Web cliches (the animated gif and the walking stick man) and still manage to make something refreshing? It’s a huge task, but he pulls it off and makes me want to do some animated .gifs again!
