Visual artist and illustrator
Nicholas Rampasaud is a visual artist, illustrator, and writer from LI NY. Currently residing in queens. He joined the military out of high school where he continued to travel all over the world, learn, and train. While stationed and living in Japan for 3 years he found himself seeking apprenticeship under several, local, japanese tattoo artists and manga writers in Yokosuka to keep his skills fresh until he returned.
He has been in a few art shows around the world including the Spoke arts exhibition “of feathers and scales” where his work was featured and sold next artists from Pixar, Cartoon Network, Marvel ect. He has done all kinds of artwork from album/mixtape covers, murals to tattoo designs, storyboards, children’s book illustrations, fashion illustrations, logo and merch design.
The majority of his personal work consists of clever illustrations based on childhood nostalgia, common cultural archetypes, and fan art. With his future work he seeks to draw reference from various religions and mythologies to supplement a story about his experiences in the military.
