Story has always affected me in a big way. I wouldn’t be who I am if I hadn’t read A Wrinkle in Time when I was nine. Or, sadly, watched way, way too much TV as a teenager. Remember That Girl and Love, American Style? I hope not. What I’ve learned since then is that story is the language of the brain. We’re affected by stories every minute of every day, whether we know it or not. My goal is to reveal what gives story its unparalleled power, the better to enable us to create stories capable of changing the world (in a good way). Story is, after all, our one real superpower
