Bill Kartalopoulos is a Brooklyn-based comics critic, curator, editor and educator. He is the series editor for the Best American Comics series published annually by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. He teaches comics history in the SVA Visual Narrative MFA program, has worked as a studio assistant to Art Spiegelman, and has directed programming for the Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival, SPX: The Small Press Expo, and the MoCCA Arts Festival.
