Get a peek at Luisa Ilhoa’s thesis story, ‘Amazonas’

On the topic of love for food, traveling, and photography, the author Julian Barnes navigates them all. His book “Levels of Life”, the most beautiful account of love and grief I have ever read, is my ultimate inspiration for my thesis project, “Amazonas”, about a daughter who loses her father and goes to the Amazon jungle to try to heal from her loss. As he beautifully says: “Nature is so exact, it hurts exactly as much as it is worth. […] If it didn’t matter it wouldn’t matter.” – Luisa Ulhoa, Class of 2018
