“Coupling” is a 103 page book of personal text and photos by Shannon O’Halloran (Class of 2018). It explores intimacy within a modern artistic relationship. Limited Edition of 25 signed artist edition books available Friday, 6-8pm at the closing reception party for the MFA Thesis exhibition.

Something that was really important to me in the making of my thesis was this idea of slowing down. Several times I made stills from videos I had taken and put them in my book “Coupling”. Here are some slower moments that were featured in both the book as a still and the video as moving film. In my future projects I am interested in playing with time, motion and the symbiotic relationship of film and video.
