Don Kenn is a television director for kids shows in Denmark. So, of course he’s also a brilliant illustrator who prefers post-it notes for his work. Kenn’s work is reminiscent of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, yet sets itself apart by highlighting contrasts. Children take their monsters on a morning constitutional, hang out with ghosts, chill on trees with mutant octopi. The casual meets the revolting to make some powerful (and tiny) pieces.
